'Brave' inspired me to make a huge change in my life and leave my home and family to explore a new career and conquer new cities.
Melanie (1979-) was born and raised in Iowa by a single mother. In 2006 she went to London to see Idina Menzel as Elphaba in Wicked while there she met her future best friend while they were waiting in line for front row tickets to the show) and also discovered her love for traveling. She was still living in Iowa, working as a registered nurse, feeling the need to make a change in her life but not quite having the courage to leave everything and everyone she knew, when in 2007 she heard the song "Brave", by Idina Menzel. That song gave her the inspiration to leave home and she now travels all over the country working as a travel nurse. She is grateful to have had the opportunity to meet so many new friends, both during her travel for work and via So Beautiful and IMMB.
